Hubble’s Diverse Universe

Hubble’s Diverse Universe

A 45-minute documentary focused on the impact of the Hubble Space Telescope and NASA on the careers of individual astronomers. The film focused on ten astrophysicists and their research, and was filmed at the American Astronomical Society meeting in Long Beach, CA in January 2009 and the National Society of Black/Hispanic Physicists meeting in Nashville, TN in February 2009. The film is financially supported by a NASA E/PO grant under Romeel Davé and Xiaohui Fan of Steward Observatory, University of Arizona, and IYA2009 USA.

There are premieres planned for this summer at the Museum of African American Technology in Oakland, CA, and the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Hubble’s Diverse Universe will be available on DVD this fall.
